At Handmade Things by Kate, I create unique art with the thought of the silk industry and fashions popular for some men from the 1630's. Leeds, MA was also once a home to a grove of mulberry trees that supplied the fashion industry and so when I came across some very beautiful silk ties made for men cira the 1980's to 1990's it immediately became clear that they were special much like the fabric of silk and so I wanted to reuse, preserve, and make useful again these finds and hope you take them with you someplace special.
